Obituary for John Zoet Dies After Long Illness
John Zoet died Saturday morning from cancer at his home. He was born October 16 1883 in the Netherlands and came to America with his wife and four children forty seven years ago. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary on October 15 1953. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 pm at the home with Rev James Boogerd of Matlock and at 1 30 pm at the First Reformed Church with Rev N Rozenboom. Pallbearers were the deceased’s grandsons. The following month his wife and eight children survived along with twenty nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He had brothers and one sister in the Netherlands.
