Poland China sales bring nearly $60 000 in three markets
Col J A Benson reported three large Poland China sales Tuesday with Korver Bros of Alton Bloemendaal Bros of Orange City and Farver of Sheldon. The combined total reached 58590 with per head averages around 427 for Korvers and 459 overall for the trio. Top prices included 1700 for a boat sold to Harry Uittenbogaard and 5600 for Record Buster. 34 head went to Farver totaling 16000 despite rain.

Big $20,000 offer for The Pilot hog in Iowa talks
Fred Sievers of Audubon Iowa offers Bloemendaal Bros 20000 for The Pilot the Poland China boar. He plans to show it at the national swine show in Chicago this fall and experts say it could win the blue ribbon. The offer would be a record price if accepted. Break‑in at Bergman Hardware Prompts Call for Night Watch
Last Friday night the Bergman Hardware store was entered and razors pocket knives and silverware were taken. The front door was found open the next morning and the only clue is the unlocked entrance.
