John Dykstra says the county bridge crew will begin extensive repairs in the Fourth District. Plans call for a 120 foot bridge with a 60 foot steel span located 30 miles north and one mile east of Boyden. The board also placed an order for two new 14 ton International trucks.

A farewell took place at St. John's Lutheran Church Sunday evening for William Meyer who will enter the Army with induction set for Friday.
Mr and Mrs Herman Kruse of Long Beach California arrived by train early Monday morning to attend the funeral of their brother Robert Kruse who died last Thursday.
