County Chairman P B Mouw reports Sioux County residents are meeting bond sales goals and will not run a separate April drive for a 700 000 dollar quota as part of the 2 313 300 dollar annual target. He urges timely investments to fund planes tanks jeeps and other equipment for the war effort and notes pledges will receive credit.
The Grey Shop in Sheldon invites shoppers to join the Easter parade in a new suit or coat. Customers are urged to visit for fresh styles and seasonal fashion options.
Notice to clean up rubbish debris and obstructions by May 4, 1943 or town will remove at abutting property owner expense. Mayor Paul T. McCrum signs. District meeting of the Brown Swiss Breeders Association to be held Tuesday April 20 at 8 pm in Sheldon.

The Salvation Army completed a fundraising drive in Boyden this week and now does 12 times the work it did during the last World War. It serves the armed forces in 2400 locations including 115 army camps and Captain Eddie Rickenbacker praised its effectiveness, saying the organization did more than all other service groups combined.
A local note says Mrs Berger is visiting the John Hollander residence this week and urges readers to consider buying a Second War Loan and Bond to support soldiers who fought in the war.

The Victory Peppy Pals Club met April 8 with present members. They voted to discontinue dues as the treasury exceeds five dollars. Jeanne Kleinhesselink and Iola Horn read a story. A quiz program and games followed. War Stamps total 17.65 this week. Eighth graders studied civics and formed a Senate to pass a law with Jeanne Kleinhesselink as vice president and Peter Liestraand and Glenn Doorenbos to draft the bill.

The Bridge Club gathered Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. W. G. Vanderburg for an informal session. Members shared bidding practices and played several hands in a friendly, social setting.
The sixth week of the second six weeks brings county eighth grade exams on May 7 for diplomas. Seniors rehearse for the May 14 opening of the play Happy Is The Bride directed by Mrs. Roggen. Baccalaureate is May 23 in the Reformed Church, Commencement May 28 in the school gym, with Rev. H. Rolenbrander as speaker. The year ends May 28 with customary picnics.
Sept. Charles Tye visited the county schools Tuesday, touring grade rooms and some high school classes. He plans another visit to complete inspections and will report to the superintendent and local board of education, offering recommendations and criticisms as he sees fit.
