The hospital will be run by seven trustees chosen by the county supervisors. Terms expire in staggered two year cycles with max three terms. Physicians cannot be trustees and no compensation is paid. The facility will be locally operated with X ray and lab services and modernization features. Humboldt County Hospital Committee

The council met in regular session October 7 1946 with Mayor Packard presiding and all members present. Minutes were read and approved. Bills discussed and approved, including service charges, salaries, supplies, and insurance. The meeting closed after a general discussion of town welfare and adjourned.
