Demonstration on Shallow Surface Drainage Set Near Clarion
The Lowe area farmers may attend a Shallow surface drainage demonstration next Tuesday November 3 at 2 PM at Willis Kurtz farm 12 miles north and 2 miles west of Clarion. The program by Iowa State College Agriculture Engineering and Soil Conservation Service uses a whirlwind terracer with a modified rotor to show draining shallow depressions before crop damage occurs. The event aims to show a practice with broad local applicability and invites all interested farmers. Allen Kline to address the County Annual Meeting November 13. Iowa Farm Bureau leader and world-traveled agri-teacher will speak and preside over a business session with officer elections and resolutions. All Farm Bureau families invited.
