Mrs. Harold Yanney hosted a Tuesday afternoon event for the Delt A-Deck Bridge Club with a dessert luncheon and bridge. Mrs. Virgil Erwin reported her score while Mrs. Terry Mitchell won the draw prize amid the MLW.
A long list of local church activities, meetings, and social gatherings is reported. Ruth Ann Kleen at the piano leads hymn responses, youth pledge gives, and Crusade for Christ stewardship is noted. The Trummell home hosts guests from Long Beach and Britt while 4-H, Legion, and Women’s groups organize dinners, games, and officer elections across Renwick with several local families highlighted.
Visitors Monday evening at the Norman Peer home included Mr. and Mrs. Edward Plesse and children Edward Allan and Gwen as they plan to travel to California later this week. Mrs. Norman Peer hosted the East Grove Friendly Neighbors Club on Wednesday with twenty guests, while the Peers formerly lived in East Grove Township. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Smith and son Dennis returned home Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Yelmke and Phyllis visited Webster City on Saturday, and Norman Peer and wife were guests Sunday at John Larson’s.
