Miss Louisa Aline Martel wed Jerry Ronald Green in a ceremony at St Mathieu's Church Central Falls RSA reception at the Pulaski Home Pawtucket. Rev Roger Larasse officiated. The couple will reside in West Union Iowa. The groom is an Indiana Highway Patrolman.

Linda Pogge Honored With Shower At St. Paul Lutheran

Linda Pogge was honored at a miscellaneous shower in the parlors of St Paul Lutheran church Saturday evening. Hostesses were Mrs Ewald Moeller of Waverly and Bargin Fink provided decorations. About twenty five guests attended as Linda opened gifts assisted by her sister Mrs Ewald Moeller. Linda is the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Pogge and will marry Fred Motager of Farragut. The program included readings by Janet Martin and a flute solo by Marilyn Lerdal.

The Rebekahs held a 7 p.m. potluck dinner in the school lunch room on Tuesday. A follow up program featured a film about clothing needs from the Christian Children’s Fund Inc. Collected gifts were awarded to Mrs Warren Garrison who moves to California and to Mrs Lora Moore who moves to Des Moines. Mrs Garrison presented a white Bible to Mrs Wes Carlson N.G. and Mrs Moore gave a potted plant.

Barb Kamp to Represent Boone Valley at Algona Band Festival

Boone Valley band members will attend the Algona Band Festival on Saturday October 3. The parade starts at 11 and a short concert is planned at 2:35 in front of the courthouse. Barb Kamp was chosen as Miss Boone Valley. About 70 students will participate from Boone Valley.

The town sets October 6 as the deadline to file nomination papers for the municipal election on November 3. Final Rites For R Sassman Grandmother Held At Storm Lake

Storm Lake held services for Emma Banks grandmother of Ray Sassman. Banks mothered 13 children and raised several youths from a broken home. She had 50 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr and Mrs Bob Fisher visited Bloomfield Nebraska for family illness and reported Pfc Robert A Fisher stationed in Newam Germany.
