Court arraigns man charged in fatal wreck
Raleigh County Circuit Court arraigned Dry Creek man Kermit Edward Cook Jr. on negligent homicide charges from a December crash that killed 23 year old Shawnee Alder man who was six months pregnant. Cook pleaded not guilty and is free on 2500 dollars bond with trial set for June 10.

Grand jury indicts W V a man over library book vandalism
Athens Ohio AP William Cracraft 35 of Nitro West Virginia was indicted by an Athens County grand jury on one vandalism charge and two counts of pandering obscenity involving children. Police say he used a razor to cut pictures from 68 books at Ohio University Libraries. Authorities arrested him April 16 at the main campus library.

Juvenile dies in Dixie car crash on Memorial Day weekend
Ronald Millisons 14 of Indore died at the scene after a two vehicle wreck on Route 16 in Dixie. Colleen Seabolt 43, driving a 1987 Subaru Justy, was ejected and later moved to Charleston Area Medical Center in critical condition. Larry Neal of Sizemores, driver of a 1987 Chevrolet truck, and an unnamed passenger were not injured.
