84 year old woman wins home confinement modification

An 84 year old woman accused of pulling a gun on Dr Stephen Lee at Southern West Virginia Clinic won a modification in her home confinement. Reynolds was not present at the Raleigh County Circuit Court hearing due to health deterioration and was arrested May 5 for allegedly pulling a loaded gun from her purse and aiming it at Lee. Witnesses said she threatened to return and kill Lee and then herself.

Oak Hill group plans year round US flag program

Oak Hill Moving Ahead seeks to fly 15 flags between Oak Hill and Summerlee avenues by July and 62 flags from the Main Street bridge to the Pea Ridge exit by Labor Day. The program, funded by local donors, aims to cover major routes with brackets on utility poles and expand as money comes in. An information booth will open on West Virginia Day to collect donations.
