At Nicholas County High School graduation Jody Williams had her No 22 basketball jersey retired and framed, a first in 84 years. Williams led the Grizzlies to a 44 4 record and earned Player of the Year honors while set to attend James Madison University. Salutatorian Andrea Dorsey read a self written poem. Valedictorian Jennifer Bell received a savings bond from Sen. Byrd. Faculty member Mary Nutter handed diplomas and urged Golden Rule living.
