Judge Denies New Trial For Nagye In Murder Case

Raleigh County Circuit Court denied defense motions for a new trial in the second degree murder conviction of Rodney Nagye for killing his live-in partner Mari lyn Johnson in March 1997. Judge Hutchison ruled the jury had sufficient evidence of malice and intent to convict, and appointed a guardian ad litem for Nagye’s youngest daughter Cleo.

Autopsy confirms drowning in Alabama kayaker death

Charles Chandler Jr. of Anniston Alabama drowned while solo kayaking the New River below Lower Keeney rapids. Autopsy by the state medical examiner’s office found no injuries. He had a life jacket and helmet. no witnesses.
