Stratton Elementary violations fixed ready for students
Stratton Elementary is cleared to reopen after marshal violations were resolved. Racine Thompson told the Raleigh County school board the fire marshal issued the permit to occupy the building as preschool and kindergarten report today, with older students following on Thursday and Friday. The board approved staff moves and multiple contracts for health services, supplies, and construction as work continues including paving, lighting, and window replacements. Suzanne Rader was recognized with a Discover Card Tribute Silver Award for arts and humanities.
