W A Hall president of a magazine company had his pocket picked of negotiable securities worth 45 909 while riding a subway train. Three men jostled him, and he did not notice the loss until leaving the car. Hall says he will not prosecute if the papers are returned.

Hobart dispatch reports Ed Goss life-term escapee recaptured and returned to Rusk penitentiary. Goss, convicted of first degree murder in Gainesville in 1910, escaped from Texas prison in 1909 and was recaptured after marriage to a Texas woman and new information leading to his capture.
