Dispatch reports a Tuesday battle at Lampazos between about 156 rebels and 100 loyalists. Eleven rebels were killed and many wounded as rebels retreated and Federals did not pursue.
A cold wave warning was issued today for the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma, signaling a drop in temperatures and potential winter weather impacts in the region. Official forecasts urge residents to prepare for frigid conditions and plan accordingly.
Hingham Massachusetts March 20 The widow of Rear Admiral Joseph A G Eaton was arrested today charged with his murder. Eaton died several days ago under circumstances that aroused suspicion.
Four people were arrested at a local boarding house in Dallas for questioning in the Bastrop Louisiana bank robbery case. A cash haul of 2400 dollars was recovered from the scene or associated premises.
Exchange National Bank of Denton announces its officers and directors led by A J Nance as President J R Christal as Vice President J C Coit as Cashier E D Curtis as Assistant Cashier and Dr J M Inge A C Owsley as directors in a formal bank listing.

Washington March 20 The House membership when it convenes April 7 will include 290 Democrats with 1093 new members and 145 Republicans with 55 first time seats.
In Quanah on March 20 the seven month old daughters of Frank Harmon perished when the Harmon residence burned to the ground.
Mayor IsItKI proclaims April 14 as the annual cleanup date for Denton and names a supervising committee for Ward Five work. Proclamation assigns supervision and oversight of the cleanup effort to the appointed committee.

Six hundred Yaqui Indians armed with four machine guns and two field pieces march toward Naco where Ojeda heads the last Federal forces in Northern Sonora. Gen Dibregon is expected to pursue and command against Ojeda.
