A trolley road passenger from Brownsville struck a horse near Blooming and overturned the vehicle. A. Bilson of Kingsville was the only person seriously hurt. Other text mentions Paris and Archduke rumors but remains unclear.
T B Hinkle temporary administrator of the estate filed to probate the purported will of J J B MecCullar who died August 12. He alleges heirs include Mrs Ray MecCullar Bennie Ray Juanita Zelma and J J B Jr Clardy McCullar Glenn L Fred L MecCullar and J Lloyd MecCullar. Hinkle claims the will names him as executor and seeks notice to produce the document or prove its contents by secondary evidence. The hearing is expected at the January term. the estate value is not stated.

Local cotton receipts are very light due to Christmas holidays and bad picking weather. Prices Saturday ranged from 2 dollars for bellies to 4 dollars for the best seed cotton offered. No lint sales were reported and prices were about unchanged from 12 1 2 cents for good stuff. The big markets are all closed.

Thomas Freer financial secretary of the local Steam Fitters union testified he killed James Conway in self defense yesterday and said Conway and others had threatened to kill him. Freer is held on a murder charge.
