Chicago grocers lower egg prices by 8c to 15c per dozen after a campaign led by Chicago women. More than 700000 eggs were sold at thirty stations as dealers cut prices to 20c to 25c from the previous 40c range. The women aim to dispose of carloads before night.

A blaze at Hodge boarding houses on West Hickory Street started about 2:30 p m and destroyed the east building then spread to the west dining hall. Three houses burned with another threatened as fire crews battled the flames, insurance losses undetermined.
