The Charlton Heights Methodist Church, led by Rev Bryan and with Edgar L. Spengler directing, prepares for the sanctuary consecration and formal opening. The church, organized in 1943 with 27 members, has seen past fund drives led by Dr R Moor man Parker and Dr H W Ware as it advances the new sanctuary schedule for October 13.

Mrs Anastas ia Isabelle Maslow aged 63 of Hilltop died in an Oak Hill hospital after a long illness. Born May 19 1884 in Kaunas Lithuania she leaves husband Leopold Daniel Mastow two sisters Constance Gregg and Barbara Chesnovsky a daughter Mrs A C Fuller and a son Michael. Services at St Peters and Pauls Catholic Church Searbro will be held Thursday at 9 a m with Fr Eugene Klug officiating. Burial at High Jawn Memorial Park. The body remains at the Ty l ree Funeral Home Chapel until one hour before services with a rosary recited this evening.

About 200 Nicholas and Fayette County Scouts attended the fall camporee at Camp Beckwith over the weekend. Highlights included a Saturday night camp fire led by John Gallagher, field director from Lewisburg, and Sunday church services by Rev. E W Lambert of Oak Hill. Troops earned awards in knot tying, signaling, first aid, nature, and fitness under Denzil Skinner.
