17 Raleigh Land Transfers Filed

The Raleigh County clerk’s office reports 17 deeds filed for land transfers yesterday. Transfers include parcels in Town District and Shady Spring District, with properties in Beckley and adjacent additions, naming buyers and sellers such as Cole, Stover, Miller, Duran, Blankenship, Berry, Dancey, Todd, Crawford, and Calfee among others.

West Virginia hunters apply for antlerless deer permits

Charleston The Conservation Commission said it had received about 2 200 applications from hunters seeking to join a special one day season on antlerless deer December 8 in Monongalia and Preston Counties. If more than 7 500 applications are received those issued permits will be chosen by lot.

Long Term Plan for School Driver Education In Raleigh

Raleigh county school officials plan a long range program for driver education with full time instructors for 1947 48. A four member high school principals committee will study driver education in other states to justify trained teachers.
