Judge Refuses Writ of Error in Venable Case

Raleigh County Circuit Judge Norman Knapp refused Venable's writ of error application this morning. Venable, convicted October 31, 1958, for the August 1958 stabbing of Vernon Dickerson, remains in the county jail with a life sentence plus five years for a prior voluntary manslaughter stabbing. He will be moved to Moundsville on the next trip for the Long Chain Charlie case.

Army Missile Boss Medaris to Retire Early
