Kaminsky said he pleaded guilty to secure a lighter sentence, was deported after a seven year suspended term. Speeding Youth Killed In Plunge
A car travelling 70 to 80 mph left Kanawha Boulevard, smashed through a six inch wall, and plunged into the Kanawha River near Charleston. The driver, 20 year old Joseph Lewis of Rand now in New York City, was killed. An attendant heard the crash at about 4 am and alerted police.

Convicts Release Three Hostages In Connecticut Prison
In Wethersfield Connecticut three guards were overpowered and held as hostages for more than six hours by convict patients in the Connecticut State Prison ward. They were released unharmed after officials granted a conference with a lawyer and a state representative. Two prisoners Walter Doolittle and Peter Kinosh met with attorney Roger Glen Dudley and Gleason, Doolittle’s former lawyer. Runaway Truck Kills Three Girls in Johnstown
In Johnstown Pennsylvania a runaway tractor trailer struck a wall and killed three girls aged eight and six as they headed to a store. Picket Arrests Over Illegal Parking At Nursing Home Site
Two out of county men Robert Nugen and Randolph Ziegler were named as defendants in warrants by Magistrate Burke for illegal parking at the Pine Lodge Nursing Home construction site.
