West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals upholds a Raleigh County Circuit Court verdict setting aside a jury verdict for Mrs. Louise Ramey and granting a new trial in favor of retired Lt. Col. Woman Wins Headstone Fight in Des Moines

Cynthia Frederick, 21, wins approval from the Des Moines Park Board to place two handmade concrete headstones on her infant children's graves at Glen Dale Cemetery. The board voted 81 to allow the markers after earlier cemetery committee opposition due to aesthetics.
