Henry Lilly Named Night Watchman At County Airport

Henry Lilly longtime foreman for the State Road Commission and Democrat was appointed night watchman at Ray County Memorial Airport by the County Court on Tuesday. Lilly, once removed from SRC duties after a new administrator took office, had his selection submitted by Van Dorsey and accepted unanimously. Airport manager Herb Alley said Lilly will begin duties soon.

Mrs Stover 51 Dies in Scarbro

Mrs Mar tha Agnes Stover Sr of Scarbro Route 1 died at 2:30 pm Thursday in Charleston hospital after a short illness. She was a Church of God Massey member born June 19 1906, daughter of Henry Aliff. Accused Slayer To Be Returned To Pineville

James Messer, accused slayer of Mrs. Elsie Agee, a West Virginia store clerk, is scheduled to be returned to Pineville Saturday from Weston State Hospital after mental tests. Deputies James Gibson and Bud Daniels will accompany him, while a 42-year-old Hanover man is taken to Huntington State Hospital for observation. Messer has been jailed since Monday on a huriacy charge.

Chicagoan Wins Probation In Grand Larceny Case

Thurman Downey of Chicago was sentenced to one to ten years in a state penitentiary at Moundsville but placed on probation by Judge Harry L. McCreery in Criminal Court. Downey pleaded guilty to stealing a refrigerator, broiler, stove, and coat from Leela Poe of Harper Heights on February 16.
