Warning Issued After Covel PO Money Order Theft
A Covel West Virginia post office burglary led to the theft of 300 money order blanks plus a machine, stamps and ink. If endorsed for the maximum $100 each, the loss could exceed $30,000. The break in was discovered Tuesday by Postmaster Veda Akers after entry by a window. investigation is by the U.S. Post Office, West Virginia State Police, and Wyoming County Sheriff Lelan Phillips.

Missing Youth Found Admits Killing Aunt
Teddy Paul Atha 19 confessed to shooting his aunt Mrs Dorsey Skaggs 57 in Fort Springs Friday. He was found hiding in a barn near Fort Springs Tuesday and arraigned before Magistrate John O Poteet in Fairlea held without bond. Atha named as son of Theodora Atha, had area police search since the body was found. A shotgun he took Friday was recovered after he led officers to it.

In Mullens Wyoming three persons were fined 32 dollars each for disturbing the peace and drunkenness in hearings before Magistrate Betty Thacker Saturday.
