Beckley Felon Sentenced For Distilling In Federal Case
A 40 year old Beckley man already serving a one to ten year state term at Moundsville was given three years in federal court in Charleston for illicit distilling. Paris Preston Peters of Route 3 was also sentenced in Raleigh County Court for conspiracy connected to shooting into a moving car wounding two. Judge John A Field Jr noted moonshining costs to state revenue and stressed the offense is tax noncompliance.
