Spring Round-Up Showcases 1060 Attendees and 40 Clubs
Fayette County 5-H reports over 1 060 attendees at Camp Beele Willy for the Spring Round-Up. Forty clubs were represented by 49 leaders and 875 members plus 79 visitors amid rain interrupting field events. Ribbon awards span elementary to junior high divisions with many blue red and white ribbons and thirteen demonstration winners.

Rainbow Assembly to charter girls at Mullens Chapter
Mullens Chapter 100 Order of the Eastern Star sponsors a Rainbow Assembly for girls aged 11 to 18. Rainbow Arch officers from Charlestown and Cane Bay will oversee the ceremony to create charter members. About 40 girls are expected to join. The event includes a welcome by the mayor, dinner at the Masonic clubroom, and an evening session at Bex Dunman Grade School with induction of Rainbow officers.

Argabright, plus attendance at the World Convention in Asbury Park June 5-30 and the National Convention June 16-12.

Autopsy dispute prompts further inquiry into Mrs Craft death
Emmett Bowman demands continued state police probe after autopsy and Prosecuting Attorney Bailey declare death of Edna Bowman Craft either accidental or suicide. Funeral services for the 22 year old Pineville resident and mother of two are set for 2 p.m. A broken, soaked body was found after the cliff incident, with no foul play evident by investigators.

Doctor's Child Dies At Mullens

Brakeman Hurt in Fall From Railroad Car
Ernest B. Tepler Jr. of South Mullens was treated Thursday at Taylor Hospital for a hand injury from a fall while working on a railroad car. He was released to return home after treatment. He, with his wife, reported that a hand brake gave way causing him to fall, injuring his right index finger.
