Pike Man Dies From WV Turnpike Crash Near Here
Joe Sadler 62 of Coaldale Mercer County died in a local hospital Tuesday from injuries after his car collided with a tractor trailer on the West Virginia Turnpike near here Monday. Passenger Alvin Bivens Jr. 31 of North Fork McDowell County was reported in satisfactory condition. The truck driver was not seriously injured. Sadler's death marked West Virginia's 62nd highway death of the year to date. Fifty-two people had died on Mountain State highways by this date a year ago.
