Agreement on Judge Reached By Conferees
Senate and house conferees reached a bill creating an additional federal judge in West Virginia. The measure allows the extra judge to serve both northern and southern districts until a vacancy occurs in the northern district, after which the successor would fill that vacancy. The compromise was cowritten by Neely Hatch Austin Ramsay Guyer and Walter and awaits final approval.
