Slayer Believed Alive Despite Death by Own Action
A West Virginia Maryland border case shows 44 year old Wilson Cole sought by a combined state and county police posse in the slaying of Lena Lewis at a Deep Creek area farm store. An apparent death note was found but authorities believe Cole is alive. Lewis was beaten and shot, with bruises and rope marks noted. The case links to the elder Cole and his son Willard Cole, with Willard and his wife Alice witnessing parts of the events. The chase has grown to about 25 members, as investigators piece together the sequence from witnesses and Maryland State Police. The note claimed burial at his father’s place, and authorities deem it poorly written.
