Green Held for Grand Jury Action

Greta Mollens, known as Black Eagle-ruiner, is held in Wyoming County Jail in $2,000 bond for grand jury action on grand larceny. Arraigned before Magistrate R. M. Stovall, she pled not guilty to theft of a watch and a $10 leash from S. Smith at a Black Eagle boarding house on September 19. Police arrested her in the city.

Four terms of two to ten years in the state penitentiary at Moundville were imposed Thursday on Dennis Dale Daniel, 22, of Calloway Heights, who pleaded guilty on January 13 to four charges of forgery. The sentences run concurrently.

Lynco Miners Begin Fifth Day of Strike

250 miners at the Lynco mine of Wyoming Mining Corp walked out Monday in a dispute tied to the firing of local president Drewey Mitchell. The strike, part of a month with 11 lost workdays, follows Mitchell's dismissal for refusing assigned tasks. The mine reportedly operates at about 1350 tons daily.

New Members To Be Installed

Mullens reports two candidates Mrs Irene Rice and Mrs Viola Goode were accepted for membership in the local Women of the Moose chapter.
