The 1953 World Day of Prayer will be held Friday February 20 at Beckley Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. under Beckley Council of Church Women with theme Walk As The Children Of Light. School Of Christian Living Inaugurated At First Christian Church
The First Christian Church will inaugurate a School of Christian Living this Sunday at 5 30 PM for the whole family. The program includes a Fellowship Dinner a devotional service and a glass period and runs through March 15 replacing Sunday services. Established by the Women's Fellowship and Board of Education it aims to foster fellowship and acquaint members with missionaries. A central committee led by Dr and Mrs A H Wilson and others organized a meeting of church officers and committees and named chairmen for promotion fellowship nursery music displays registration finance teachers and more. Beckley Christian Church is noted as a top giving church in the brotherhood.
