Beckley reports a busy Mission Circle gathering at Calloway Heights Baptist Church with Mrs William Chandler presiding. The program featured Africa mission talk by Mrs Myrthe Hubacker and a reading Yesterday Today and Tomorrow. A $5 March of Dimes donation was approved and a bake sale planned for Sprague at the Anderson Store on Saturday January 29. The next meeting is set for February 12 at the Maxwell Hill home of Mrs Clyde Williams.

Members planned a Thursday telephone committee meeting at Mrs Reginald Welcome Wagon hostess home and discussed bridge canasta and monthly birthdays.

The Polio Ball project at Marsh Park a season highlight features Kircher as Petruchio and a cast of professionals and locals. Guild members and sponsors include Mrs. Carter Miss Frances doctor and Miss Shirley Williamson with plans for a two part event in the Music Hall and auditorium. The effort supports the 1053 Dimes Campaign and showcases Marsh Fork talent from Raleigh County.
