Amere Ops seeks 10 cent daily rate hike on gas bills

Amere Gas Utilities Co asks the Public Service Commission for a rate boost averaging 10 cents daily for Beckley area customers. President Joan Partridge said the request, the first in 22 years for Beckley Mullens region, could raise about 480 thousand dollars annually based on 12 months ending June 30. The filing cites higher labor costs, gas price hikes from suppliers, and increased operating expenses as reasons for the proposed increase.
