Escapee recalls mine disaster that killed five
Dan Wesley, a 42 year old veteran miner, survived when a roof collapsed at the Glen Rogers mine. Five miners including Noel Trump died. Wesley had just helped install rail for a cutting machine and was 25 feet away when the catastrophe struck. He described being buried under rock and unable to move as the disaster unfolded.
