Mrs. Millie Davidson, 42, of Beaver, died in a local hospital at 7:20 this morning after an extended illness. Born February 7, 1904 in Elk Valley Tennessee, she lived in Beaver five years with daughter Mrs Ray Green. Surviving are two daughters Jo Ann Davidson and Mrs Ray Green of Beaver, four sons Donald Wylie and Eudell Davidson of Beaver and R R Davidson of Methuen Massachusetts, two sisters Mrs Dewey Williams Beckley and Mrs Elma Black Powell Station Tennessee, and one brother Francis Sharp Beckley. The body will remain at the Caffee Funeral Home until arrangements are completed.

Picketing of Deckley’s General Stores continued as Elmer Davis said union contact attempts by Sherwood Spencer had not succeeded. Spencer claimed 18 of three stores’ workers signed, including some office staff, seeking a minimum wage of 26 dollars weekly.
