Raleigh County residents received 401 581 from the Home Owners Loan Corporation during three years ending June 13 1936. The WV total aided distressed homeowners reached 9 084 cases for 22 863 243 with about 990 000 directed to taxes and assessments. NATIONAL totals show 1 021 817 loans nationwide totaling 3 092 870 784 dollars with 98 percent for tax and mortgage refinancing.
