Ex policeman William Corum, 7 year resident of Honolulu, is held on a murder indictment after authorities reopen the death of his wife Mrs Marjorie Corum. Corum allegedly remarried July 23 and prosecutors say powder burns were not found on the body. He will be arraigned for plea today.

New York reports that Thomas E. Dewey, special racketeering prosecutor and author of the indictment on which Arthur Dutch Schultz Flegenheimer was tried and acquitted at Malone, called the verdict a miscarriage of justice. He declined comment. Dewey drafted the indictment while with the U S district attorney's staff. Schultz was indicted in the southern district but tried in the northern district after removal proceedings were dropped following his surrender.
