Wyoming Police Make Progress in Lumber Co Burglary Case
Wyoming County police reported progress in the week-old burglary at Wyoming Lumber and Supply Co. Moses Kirk, 24, Welch barber, waived preliminary hearing and was ordered held for Grand Jury after admitting involvement. Paul Counts, 35, Kavaco, offered as Kirk's and the third suspect's chauffeur, is free on bond. Police seek James Blankenship, Jaeger, the third member. The gang pried the firewall but did not blow the safe. the damaged strong box was worth 1100 dollars. Kirk said he and Blankenship entered with nitroglycerin to blow the safe but backed off. He cited debt and pursuit of quick money as motives.

Perry Funeral Set Thursday in Fayetteville Church
Funeral services for 71 year old Bayless Tapp Perry will be held Thursday at 2 pm in the Fayetteville Pilgrim Holiness Church with Rev Basil Enizminger officiating. Burial follows in Huse Cemetery. Perry died at his Fayetteville home from a heart attack. He was a retired coal miner. Survived by his wife Ethel and several children and stepchildren, plus siblings. The body lies at Dodd Payne Funeral Home and will be moved to the church an hour before services.
