Five Indicted for Oak Hill Safe Theft
Fay ette County grand jury indicted Luther Lee Cutlip Silas Tincher William Boyd Walters Dennis Linkus and William Leroy Nutter on charges of breaking into Lowe's Oak Hill Tuesday night and stealing a 500 pound safe containing 315 dollars in cash and 420 dollars in checks. Cutlip and Tincher are jailed while the others are at large.

Airman Spends Leave With Parents Before Returning
Airman 10 Guy Shuck spends a three week leave at his parents home Mr. and Mrs. George Shuck after returning from overseas service of three years in the Air Force stationed at Rhein Main Germany. A Pax High School graduate class of 1958 he will report back to Polk Air Force Base North Carolina. He also visited his sister Mrs. Marjorie Swanner and brother Charles Shuck during the stay.

Oak Hill Driver Fined in Left-of-Center Collision
Robert E. Howard of Harlem Heights Oak Hill was fined $10 and $5.50 costs in Magistrate Myrl O'Dell's court for driving to the left of center on March 11. The incident caused damage to his car and another vehicle.

Initiation Rites For Pineville Junior Honor Society

Basketball fundraiser game planned for Fayette Park
Fayetteville committee from local clubs met at the Rahall home to plan a two night basketball event at the Fayetteville Memorial Building April 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit the City Park for picnic tables and barbeque pits. Clarence Thomas chairs tickets. Monday features Junior Woman's Club vs Lions Club and Beta Sigma Phi vs Jaycees. Tuesday hosts all-stars from Monday. A parade of teams is planned for Monday at 6 p.m. with players riding in convertibles, led by the Fayetteville High School Band.
