Camp Glen Daniel plans summer camps and improvements
The Glen Daniel camp founded by Ross Irle and associates spurred local camping interest with plans by six Beckley citizens to start summer camps along the Marsh Fork of Coal River. WPA funding funded stream cleanups and bridge construction on Sunset Farm and Fairdale property, plus a concrete dam to stabilize water for swimming three quarters of a mile. Stansbury invites locals to visit sites through midweek, with more attendance expected this summer.
