Obituary: Grover Allen Garrett of Tucumcari NM dies at 73
Grover Allen Garrett 73 died at home in Tucumcari New Mexico on May 18 2009 after a long illness. He was born July 6 1935 in Tucumcari and pursued ministry across multiple states and countries. Surviving are his wife Mary Ann Garrett three children six grandchildren and numerous relatives. Services set for Wednesday at 2 00 PM at First Baptist Church with interment in Quay Cemetery. Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home Tucumcari NM.

Anonymous donor gives $8500 to Tucumcari student
Tucumcari High School junior Donnie Price received an $8500 anonymous donation to support his education at Mesalands Community College. Price, who volunteers 1500 hours at Mesalands Dinosaur Museum, plans to enroll full time there in fall before pursuing paleontology at UC Berkeley. He is the son of Joe and Jen Pinkston.
