Several commission members led by Mayor Antonio Apodaca questioned the wastewater sale plan. Commissioner Jim Witcher urged charging Arch Hurley rates, while the panel unanimously set a temporary $10 per acre foot rate for one year and planned a rates hearing for a future, fixed price. The meeting also honored the Tucumcari Rattlers, proclaimed National Public Works Week, and named Witcher as Eastern Plains Council of Governments voting representative with Rose as alternate. Budget hearings were scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m.
