Two escapees arraigned in Haynes shooting case in New Mexico
May 4 two Kansas prisoners were arraigned before Magistrate Judge Charles Magruder on armed robbery charges in the abduction of Quay County deputy Travis Haynes. They face $100,000 bonds each as DA Norman Runyan foresees more charges while Haynes stays in critical care after being shot in Taiban. The suspects were captured near Carrizozo. Haynes died in 1984.
