Public library hosts final story time with Donna Leonard
The last story time session for area youths featured reader Donna Leonard guiding an hour and a half of stories. Thomas S Wheeler, former Tucumcari student, received an Air Force Association Award from the 505 Air Force ROTC at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces for top officer potential and top 10 percent of his graduating class.

Tucumcari community honors long serving fair board member
Helen Hutchens received a plaque for 15 years as a fair board member and 4-H Leader from Russell Harris, president of the Quay County Fair Association. Tucumcari commissioners approved a $45 000 youth recreation center after a prior vote against it, following Parks and Recreation input at a special meeting. The Tucumcari Public Library lists new books with contact number 461 0295.
