4-H Capitan Contest Yields Numerous Honors Across Disciplines
Twenty seven Quay County 4-H members aged 9 to 13 competed in Capitan New Mexico at the 2009 District 4-H Contests and returned with multiple ribbons. Randall Rush earned fifth high in Junior Air Rifle. Trestin Peterson, Macey Moon, Shaylee Moon, and Sam Robinson placed second in Novice Bare Bow Archery. additional top placers included Reagan Runyan, Peyton Ray, Kaitlyn Dougherty, Ashlee Bradley, and others across sewing, livestock judging, horticulture, home economics, and public speaking events.
