Mesalands near goal as enrollment soars and plan advanced
Mesalands Community College reports 94 percent of its 2006 2009 strategic goals achieved. Full time enrollment rose 37 percent since 2006 with 3248 students in 2008 2009, up from 217? in 2006 2007. Trustees approved a five year facilities master plan to add dorms when funding becomes available.

A burglary was reported at a business on East Tucumcari Boulevard at 8:57 p.m. Later a residence on South Second Street was noted for a burglary at 8:22 a.m. A vehicle incident had no loss at 8:22 a.m. A hotel vandalism report on East Tucumcari Boulevard at 2:03 p.m. could not locate suspects. An alarm at a fuel station on South Mountain Road was resolved at 4:09 p.m. Suspicious activity on West Sunset Avenue at 11:01 p.m. led to contact with several subjects who were advised to keep it down.
