Idaho senator Henry Dworshak spoke at the Preston Rotary luncheon about his trips to the Pacific and Europe. Ricks College Vikings elect co captains Griffin and Sargent
The Ricks College Vikings named Roger Griffeth of Franklin and Sargent of Bonneville High School as co captains after a 56 member squad voted last week. Griffeth, a 200 pound tackle and letter winner in football, also competed in track. Sargent, a 145 pound quarterback, was outstanding freshman of last year and majors in physical education. He played guard in basketball at Ricks and starred in athletics at Bonneville High School.

PHS Homecoming Planned With Parade and Dance
Homecoming events start with an 11 a.m alumni assembly and 12:30 parade through Preston. Students Connie Jean Artfleck Nancy Brown and Nancy Winn compete for queen. Indianettes baton corps and band take part. A football game at 1:30 pits the Indians vs Snake River Panthers. A halftime show follows and the queen and attendants are crowned. The day ends with an 8:30 p.m. high school gym dance.
