Breeders Henry Drury and Sons Alma Choules Norman Nelson Fairview Douglas Wright Franklin contributed cattle entries while W R Fisher Oxford led Duroc swine wins. Oliver Greaves Preston showcased the grand champion Columbia ram and Carl Nielsen Preston earned blue ribbons boosting a season total of 120 flower-show wins in 1953.

Emma H Beckstead Dies in Salt Lake City
Emma Hobbs Beckstead 57 of Preston died at 6 25 PM Wednesday in a Salt Lake City hospital after a lingering illness. Born December 19 1895 in Preston she was the daughter of Charles R and Ida E Pernell Hobbs. She married William A Beckstead October 1 1914 in the Logan temple and lived in Preston most of her life. An active LDS church worker she served as an officer and teacher in Primary Sunday school MIA and Relief Society. She belonged to the Syringan camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers and served as camp historian. Survivors include one daughter Marcel B Bowden Dayton her husband of Preston and brothers and sisters John S Hobbs Leo Hobbs Milo Hobbs all of Preston Mrs Laura Shumway Logan and Mrs Edith Cluff Salt Lake City. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 PM in the funeral chapel.

Rites Held Tuesday For George D. Collins
George David Collins 72 of 516 South First East Preston died at home after a lingering illness. Born March 12 1881 in Cheepbeck Idaho he was married to Emma Parry in St Anthony April 16 1913. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Preston LDS first ward chapel with burial in Preston City Cemetery.

Sheriff Ray Talbot issued a countywide warning about dumping garbage on public roads and highways. He said serious trouble has been encountered and complaints are numerous, and warned that violators will be arrested and fined if caught in the act.

Tennis Courts Gifted to City by Preston Elks
The Preston Elks lodge presents new concrete tennis courts to the city recreation department. A program at 8 p.m. Friday in the Park features an orchestra, free dancing, and other entertainment. FFA Judging Teams Win Ribbons At Blackfoot Fair
The livestock judging team of Clair Rosen Ramon Wright and Larry Larsen finished fourth among 26 teams at the Eastern Idaho State fair in Blackfoot. Two Women Injured In Car Accident Near Pocatello
Mrs Connie Garrett and Mrs Carma Hymas, daughters of Mr and Mrs Orval Harris, were seriously injured when their car rolled multiple times eight miles south of Pocatello on the way to Preston. Both are hospitalized in St Anthony with pelvis and spinal injuries. Garrett recently moved to town to join her husband Richard, who may be home from Europe next week.

Fisher Durocs Dominate Eastern Idaho State Fair Ribbons
Fisher Durocs bred by W. R. Fisher and son Stanley of Oxford earned 23 ribbons at the Eastern Idaho state fair, including grand champion, reserve grand champion, junior and reserve junior sow titles. The string spanned senior spring boars and all groups, with a total of 18 hogs exhibited. This marks 27 years of Fisher hog entries at the Blackfoot fair.

Twin Babies Bring Big Prize in Preston Promotion
Mrs. Cecil Coburn of 71 North Third East Preston gave birth yesterday to twins a boy and a girl.
