Auto Accidents Involve Three During Past Week
Three Preston residents were in separate auto accidents last week. Angus Condie followed Allen Lyon on Highway 34 when Lyon turned suddenly and Condie swerved toward the embankment, damaging his 1958 sedan and minor injuries. Damage estimated at 350 dollars. Later Howard Carpenter rolled his 1957 on Highway 91 near Preston Airport, total loss but no injuries. Sheriff Talbot investigated.

Two Army men from Preston and Pfe Richard W Hull and Pvt Max G Johnson joined the 237th engineer battalion in Germany to set a Rhine River crossing record. They helped span about 800 feet of floating bridge in one hour and 57 minutes amid European duties and training backgrounds at Fort Carson and Fort Leonard Wood and Valley High School.
