Daniel Roberts of Preston Idaho a Franklin County extension agent won a Distinguished Service Award from the National Agricultural County Agents Association announced September 10 at the Kansas City convention. Roberts has led county programs since 1944 reinforcing dairy and soil testing efforts and 4-H growth.

Franklin Accident Destroys Two Vehicles On Highway 91
Mrs Earl Shumway of Franklin and Craig Perry of star route were in a collision on highway 91 north of Franklin last Thursday. Shumway s 1957 automobile was a total loss per Deputy Sheriff Ernest Moore. Perry s pickup, owned by Howard Swainston, was heavily damaged. No injuries and no citations were issued.

Marine Recruiters to Visit Preston Next Wednesday

The Holstein-Friesian Association of America reports Idaho registered cows surpassing 100000 pounds of milk in official records. Drury herd member Hanna Colantha De Kol produced 100279 pounds milk and 3284 pounds butterfat in 2179 days. About 9924 Holsteins have exceeded this mark on official tests.
